I’ve been feeling pretty absent from my blog recently, no matter how hard I try to make the appearance and write especially in this place. Life has been crazy, in the best way possible. This week has been full of highs and lows. Each year, this is the toughest week of March for me to go through, and in fact I can’t remember the last time I ever enjoyed myself and forgot the sad times that this week holds for me. But this year things are changing. I may have been sad to say goodbye to 2012 at first; scared to say hello to a new year that I bore no attachment to, but that is all changing.
This year is filling itself with so many amazing things.
I’m going to save this for a bigger, better blog post. Right now, I’m heading to New York City for four days! First trip of the year, and I just can’t wait. NYC is one of my favorite cities on this continent (after Montreal, of course) and although I was just there in September, I’m going to be properly spending three full days there. There are very few places that make me as happy as the hustle and bustle of Times Square, the shopping in SoHo, and the street carts filled with all kinds of good food.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and take some time to do something a little extraordinary while you’re at it.

I’m so excited for you! My brother is going to New York in October and I am insanely jealous. I was invited BUT I will have just had the baby so that’s out of the question. I’ve never been to New York and would love to go someday. =)
Insanely jealous but I am so excited for you. You definitely deserve this time away and a fun trip with friends. Have the BEST time!
I am so excited to hear about the trip. I want to go back to NY SO bad.
I’m so glad you’re coming and that I’ll get to meet you! Although I hope that you’ll explore some of the less touristy areas. Those are the most fun!
I think a lot of people are having a blog funk at the moment (me included!) so don’t worry about it. You’ll be back at it in no time
Have a great time in NYC!!
Eeeeek New York City! Can’t wait to hear about all the fun things you do
I’m sorry that this week has been rough…I hope you SMILE all weekend.
