Travel

In the last few years I’ve become completely addicted to traveling! Here are some recaps on my travels over the years:

Tofino, British Columbia (November 2013)

I was hired as a brand ambassador for this amazing company called Beach Travellers, and they sent 10 of us out to a company retreat in Tofino, BC in November. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and my first time traveling somewhere by myself (let alone to spend it with 15 people I’d never met before).

Boston (April 2013)

I didn’t really get to see much of Boston other than the concert venues, but it was great to discover a new city. I loved the feeling of Boston, the constant good vibes coming from everywhere. The music, the people. I can’t wait to go back! Read about it here.

SAM_2404Oh and I met my all-time favorite musician in Boston, so there’s THAT.

New York City (March 2013)

4 wonderful days in the city that never sleeps. I’ve been to NYC a couple times, but I finally got to visit some things I had never seen before. It was a much needed getaway from home!

BRAZIL (July 2012)

In July 2012 I got on the 24 hour trip from Montreal to Valadares, Brazil with my mom, brother, sister-in-law, and 8 month old nephew. I spent 3 weeks exploring with my Canadian family AND my Brazilian family the local areas of Brazil for my very first time! I blogged about it while I was there quite a few times, and finished up my re-caps when I came back home at the end of the month!

- Brazil in Photos Pt. 1 [ I share some pictures just a few days after landing!]

FLORIDA (February 2012)

In February 2012 I decided it was time to cross off another number on my Life List: visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida. I spent 5 days in sunny Orlando with one of my best friends, and got to experience the awesomeness of WWOHP along with tons of other adventures.

You can read all about them in the posts below that I wrote after coming home:

-The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

-Florida Adventures (everything else)

I still can’t believe I went to Hogwarts. HOW AWESOME.

GREECE (August 2011)

In August 2011 I spent 3 weeks traveling through Greece with three of my best friends. I like to say that this trip is the reason I fell in love with Europe! You can read all about my adventures below:

PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND (August 2010)

In August 2010, I packed up a car with two of my best friends Jenn & Jenia, along with Jenia’s parents, and we drove the 14 hours across 3 Canadian provinces to the beautiful Prince Edward Island for 2 weeks. I’ve wanted to visit the East Coast of my country my entire life and I wasn’t disappointed in the least. I would easily go back, but these two girls made the vacation memorable for me.

It was a beautiful place that you can read about here!

MEXICO (February 2010)

During the first week of February 2010 I went to Riviera Maya, Mexico with 40+ family members to be a bridesmaid at my brother’s wedding. We spent the week visiting ancient Mexican caves, tanning at the beach & of course crying at the wedding. It was an absolutely unforgettable experience! You can read more about it over here.

The famous bridesmaids & groomsmen photo with the married couple. Absolute love!

Our group at the Rio de Secreto Mexican Caves adventure. So cool!

CUBA  (March 2009)

During the time that I wasn’t in school (in between cegep & University) I took a one week vacation with 7 amazing people to Cuba. It would be my second time ever on a plane, but my first REAL deal vacation with only friends. We were a really big group & I think we were all a bit worried about arguing, but we got along insanely well and had the absolute greatest time. It definitely brought me closer to these people in a way I could have never imagined. You can read all about it right here.

One of our last days, we dragged our chairs to the ocean & spent the entire day enjoying the beach!

NEW YORK CITY  (March 2008)

During March break of 2008, me and two of my (now) best friends hopped an overnight bus to New York City. It was our first time there and it was an amazing experience. You can read about it here! I certainly did some damage to my credit card during those 3 days.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC (June 2003)

When I was 13 I took my very first REAL vacation in a plane with my mom and my brother. We spent one week at a beautiful 5 star resort in Dominican Republic. I was too young to be blogging back then and my pictures are far too embarrassing anyway, but here’s a picture of us for viewing pleasure.
